Pregnant? You Have Options
Chances are, if you are pregnant and weren't expecting to be, you have a lot of emotions right now. You may be excited, scared, or feeling overwhelmed. Or all of those things at once. All of that is normal.
What's important now is to take the time you need and gather the information you deserve to make a good decision. After all, this is a big one. You don't need to decide anything in a hurry, and you should consider not just your life and feelings right now, but in the future.
If you are pregnant, you have three options: parenting, adoption, and abortion. Take time to consider the pros and cons of all the options before you rush into something.
You Have Options..
1
Parenting
Being a parent may seem difficult and overwhelming, even for families that plan their pregnancies. However, it is such a rewarding experience filled with many blessings. We are here to help you decide if parenting could be the right option for you, and to provide care during and after this wonderful journey. There may be a variety of reasons why you might be nervous to be a parent, but that does not mean you are not capable of being a good one. Contact us for more information on our parenting resources and plans.
2
Adoption & Fostering
Adoption is an alternative to abortion that gives your child a chance to have a happy life with someone who is ready to love and take care of the child as their own. It may be a difficult decision, but it also may be the most loving, responsible, and selfless decision for you to make. There are many different adoption plans to choose from in order to fit your specific needs. We are here to talk through all your concerns about the adoption and to help you through and after the entire process, if you choose the route of adoption. We can refer you to several adoption agencies and talk through your options. Contact us if you would like more information about the adoption process and to see if it could be the right decision for you.
3
Abortion
If you find yourself pregnant and you were not expecting it, you may feel scared, alone, worried, and stressed. If you are considering abortion as an option, there are many things to consider.

AvivaCare wants you to know all the risks associated with this procedure, which increases your health risks and ends the life of your unborn baby.
You’ll want to be fully informed about issues such as abortion methods and associated medical risks, possible adverse psychological effects of abortion, whether anesthesia will alleviate pain to the child during the procedure, probable gestational age of the fetus, and help available to support women.

Taking the Next Steps
If you are experiencing one or more of these symptoms, taking a pregnancy test can help provide clarity. Medical-grade pregnancy testing and ultrasound can confirm a pregnancy and give you a better understanding of what comes next

Common Early Signs of Pregnancy

A Missed Period
A missed menstrual cycle is often one of the first signs of pregnancy. While there can be other reasons for a late period, it may be your body’s first indication that new life is beginning.

Nausea or Morning Sickness
Nausea, with or without vomiting, is common in early pregnancy and can occur at any time of day. Though uncomfortable, this is often a sign of the many changes taking place as your body nurtures new life.

Breast Changes
Hormonal changes may cause tenderness, swelling, or sensitivity in the breasts. Some women also notice darkening of the areolas or more visible veins.

Fatigue
Feeling unusually tired is very common during early pregnancy. Your body is working hard to support and protect the life growing within you.

Frequent Urination
Increased hormones and blood flow can cause you to need to urinate more often, even in the early weeks of pregnancy.

Light Spotting or Mild Cramping
Some women experience light spotting or gentle cramping as the pregnancy begins. This is often normal and different from a regular menstrual period.
